Gone Fishing

“ Fish too much? Can’ t be done.”

— Ernest Hemingway
Avid fishermen, and those who only occasionally dangle their hooks in the water, will agree that the waters of East Tennessee offer some of the finest fishing in the country. Anglers will find outstanding fishing opportunities in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, as well as the Little Pigeon River and at Douglas Lake, located just a few miles northeast of Pigeon Forge.
A valid Tennessee Fishing License is required, wherever you choose to drop your line, if you attempt to take fish( including crayfish) by any method or if you assist anyone else to do so. Fishing licenses are available for purchase at the businesses listed on this page.
