LEFT: Students Against Destructive Decisions
SAMHSA’s five-part NPW webinar series (October 2017
through May 2018), a key component of this year’s public
engagement activities, offered individuals, organizations,
and communities the opportunity to explore information
and evidence-based resources from NPW federal,
national, and state partners that can help them make their
prevention efforts successful.
Webinar topics discussed this year included underage
drinking prevention, NPW activity planning, prevention of
substance misuse after natural disasters, prevention of
youth marijuana use, and partnering for opioid addiction
prevention. Each webinar featured speakers representing
the following areas of subject matter expertise:
• NPW 2018 federal and/or national partner, such as
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC),
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), American
Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), Boys & Girls
Clubs of America, and Students Against Destructive
Decisions (SADD)
