Coffee Coments
Career Group Ministry
In January we had a couple of going away parties for our dear friends, Michael Eugene and Aiden Suiter. We also served together at Urban Hope. February we had a big oyster roast and Christmas tree burn out at Point Pleasant. April 28 we will have our Fresh Air Home clean-up and beach day. These events are all available alongside our weekly Thursday Night Bible Studies through the Gospel of John and our other smaller group activities.
Please be praying for more contacts to be made through this group, and that the Holy Spirit would be among us as we fellowship, serve, study and worship together!

Women’ s Ministry
Thinking of the daughters of the church leads us to thank God for the gift that they are to us, to our families, to our church family, and to the world. Made in the image of God they are filled with capabilities that continue to develop throughout their lifetimes. Once redeemed they are indwelt by the Spirit of God, are able to know God, and live a purposeful life that is a blessing to others. But thinking about our daughters in a world that would deceive them, a world desiring to take from them the good gifts of God, can be frightening.
It is understandable that mothers fear for their daughters as we see the sad results of lives that have been wounded by the absence of God. They face a world where identities are determined by outward appearance and a sense of one’ s own worth comes from the acceptance of others; a world that belittles, underestimates, and diminishes their value and desires to use them before they have an opportunity to flourish. But we know that fear will not help us; God will help us. The world system is powerful; God and his word are all-powerful.
The Scriptures tell us that other women can come alongside of young mothers while rearing children. There is a village of women, mothers in the church, who are available to share the load and identify with struggles. They have the wisdom of hindsight and confidence in the faithfulness of God. Titus 2 tells young mothers that they do not have to go it alone. Older mothers in the church, reach out to young mothers in the church. Young mothers in the church, reach out to those who have gone before you. Thinking of our daughters, burdens need to be shared and wisdom does not need to be wasted.

Coffee Coments
( The women of the church had two coffees on Saturday morning, February 17)
... We have a big church and it’ s hard to know people beyond your own age group. When you walk down the aisle of the church you see many people that you don’ t know. Going to the coffee gave me the opportunity to know women that I have not met. The group of people that I know expands with opportunities like this.
... It was just fun!
... There were some women in the church that I knew their names but had never talked with. I had the opportunity to talk to some of them on Saturday. Now when I walk down the sidewalk at church or we are on the front lawn and I see them, I can greet them and maybe even have a conversation with them.
... It was a low key opportunity to talk.
