CHILDREN ’ S MINISTRY Children ’ s Sunday School

Please take a moment to thank Linden Helmly , Sue Hinely , Bev Van Grouw , and Charlie Martin for their faithful service this school year teaching our children . They take time each week to prepare and lead them in the study of the Word . Bless them for their faithfulness to the Lord and to our covenant children .
Make a note that we are changing our promotion schedule . Children will move up to their new grades the first Sunday in June . The Christian Education Committee hopes this will make for an easier transition for our end of summer school start-up dates .
Just a reminder that Children ' s Church is for our four-year-olds through kindergarten age . Thanks so much for observing this slight change . If you have any questions , please do not hesitate to contact me at amartin @ ipcsav . org . Have a wonderful summer !

Stewardship

My family served with Wycliffe Bible Translators from 2009-2017 . Living in Asia , we became very aware of how wealthy we were compared to our Filipino and Indonesian neighbors and friends . Not only did we have more materially , but we had received more education and had enjoyed years of sound Biblical teaching , which is rare in many areas of the world . While overseas , God gave us opportunities to share our resources and our abilities with those around us . These opportunities gave us great joy and are among the best memories of my life .
As we ’ ve returned to the United States , it ’ s with an awareness of how responsible we are for these advantages . We are stewards of God ’ s gifts , and must choose how to invest with what He ’ s given . Consider “ not , how much of my money will I give to God , but how much of God ’ s money will I keep for myself ?” – John Wesley
Instruct those who are rich in this present world … to do good , to be rich in good works , to be generous and ready to share . 1 Timothy 6:17 & 18

Career MINISTRY

April and May were full of opportunities for fun and fellowship and service and Bible Study for our young professionals group .
We served an Urban Hope dinner , we helped to prepare the Fresh Air Home for camp this summer , and we met weekly for Bible Study and other activities .
However , activity doesn ' t necessarily mean growth either in depth or breadth . Please pray that our friendships would deepen , that our hearts would be drawn to Christ and to His church , that many more of those who are lonely and anxious among us would find a family of believers in our midst , and that the Lord would be pleased to use our ministry to convert many to Himself .
