Call for Candidates
Understanding the Nomination Process
To run for the Board of Directors in Lake Linganore, you must be a member (specifically a “property owner” of a lot or
home).
Interested members must complete the Candidate Profile Form available on the LLA website homepage:
www.lakelinganore.org.
All Members interested in running for the Board of Directors must submit a Candidate Profile Form by 5:00pm, Friday,
March 2, 2018.
Eligibility Requirements
Per the LLA governing documents, prospective Candidates must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for
nomination:
1. A candidate must be a member (property owner) of the Association in good standing. All assessments, fees, fines, and
all other monetary obligations to the Association must be current. To verify your financial status, please contact Gary
Jenkins, Finance Manager, at 301-831-6400 x114, or e-mail him at [email protected].
2. Candidates may not have any outstanding covenant violations. To verify you do not have any violations, please contact
Denese Depeza, Village Manager, at 301-831-6400 x116, or e-mail her at [email protected].
3. Candidates must submit a Letter of Disclosure, stating whether or not they have any current business connections to
the LLA, the Eaglehead Declarant, or the LLA Property Developer.
Candidate Profile Form Questions
All candidates who wish to submit their names for nomination must provide information requested in the Candidate Profile
Form, in accordance with the LLA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, Election of Directors and Terms of Office. “Required”
information will be indicated on the form. Candidates are encouraged to answer all optional questions included in the
Candidate Profile Form, since this information will help inform the Membership of your leadership qualifications.
