> CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEGEV’S FIRST NEURO-ORTHOPEDIC REHABILITATIVE HOSPITAL: Work has commenced on the Negev’s first neuro-orthopedic rehabilitative hospital, to be built on the premises of ALEH Negev-Nahalat Eran. Slated to open in 2021, the hospital will meet the urgent needs of some 800 thousand residents in the southern region of Israel, offering accessible long-term rehabilitative care following accidents, strokes, and severe injuries sustained during terror attacks, as well as drastically improving the state of medicine in the region. The architectural, planning and construction costs of the new hospital, to be built on 16,800 sq. meters, stand at approximately $56 million. Major partners in this project include the State of Israel and JNF. The project will create 108 new rehabilitative beds for residents of the Negev and surrounding areas.
