We welcome the XXXIII Concurso Centroamericano of the Peruvian Paso Horse, which was
held in the premises of the Cortijo Las Flores is located in Old City, Antigua Guatemala. The
Central American events began in Guatemala in the year 1986, of which 10 have been in Hon-
duras, 9 in El Salvador 4 in Nicaragua and 10 in Guatemala, in these 33 years of competitions
have been breeders and owners of 5 countries, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and
Guatemala.
In this opportunity we have the participation of breeders and exhibitors of El Salvador, Hondu-
ras and Guatemala and we had friends visit from Australia, Canada, the United States of Ameri-
ca, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina and, of course, Central America, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua,
Costa Rica and Panama.

Horse, we are including articles of interest to breeders, exhibitors and fans, you will find listings
of the winning entries from previous years both champions of the year as champions of cham-
pions of geldings, stallions & mares listing of tho se who have been judges, who have been the
horses that have been awarded as the best in each contest, the activities that took place during
the show and of course the results of the XXXIII Concurso Centroamericano.
I want to thank you for the support we receive for this event, to our sponsors for having placed
their trust in us, they are all present with their brands in this magazine and we hope we have
fulfilled their expectations, the exhibitors for bringing horses, it is always a great effort and even
more to our Central American brothers who suffer the crossing of frontiers and in spite of these
disadvantages are present, Juan Manuel Rizo Patron Barua for having accepted the invitation to
judge, to Luis Contreras and Oscar Roldan for their work in the arena, to the members of the
Organizing Committee of Marco Tulio Argueta, Julio Andres and Kelly Ponciano, association
members and the Board of Directors of the Guatemalan Association of Breeders and Owners of
Peruvian Paso Horses for the confidence and support.
