Your invitation to join our “Club 100” It takes a village to raise a child, they say. Let’s pause and think for a moment about just how amazing is it that Auckland has fostered its own community choir for over 160 years now and celebrated its unique Christmas tradition of Handel’s Messiah performances for the past consecutive 100 years. For all these years Auckland Choral has been able to flourish and continue to develop because of the on-going support of its audience, so a big THANK YOU to you. The Auckland Choral Foundation is a charitable trust with the purpose to ensure that choirs like Auckland Choral will “keep singing forever”. It distributes money to coach individuals and choral ensembles; to fund the performance of significant, larger scale choral works; to fund instrumental, orchestral and solo singing associated with choral performance and encourage and establish links between performers; to provide choral performance opportunities for the development of emerging soloists; to grant scholarships and internships for young choristers and in general to promote the knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of choral singing. The Auckland Choral Foundation has chosen this 100 Hallelujah landmark event as a launching pad to foster Auckland Choral’s next 100 years of continuous growth. You are invited to join our growing number of benefactors entering the “Club 100” with the goal to raise One Million dollars in donations and bequests to secure Auckland Choral’s next 100 years.
