is no longer the Lord of Lord’s and the center of life, both corporately and
individually. Instead, Laodicea has become a cold and lifeless institution
where apathy has become the norm, rather than the rare exception. Laodicea
doesn’t have to be our story. Understand that Jesus’ invitation to discipleship,
whether the original 12 disciples, or we who have in 2018 taken up his cross
and followed, always demands everything. To follow Jesus means giving
all, or really giving nothing. The choice is ours.
The invitation of Camp Meeting is to spend this week experiencing
Jesus. Talking with Jesus, listening to sermons about Jesus, singing about
Jesus, experiencing the wonderful grace and transforming power of Jesus.
Discovering that when we give Him room in our hearts to live and dwell,
Jesus changes everything! The answer to the word association test? Jesus?
The word is “everything!” God bless each of us as we fellowship this week
with each other and, most importantly, as we fellowship with Him!
