Disaster Response

Disaster Assessment: The process of observing, collection, assessing, pro-
cessing and recording information about what has happened to each home
affected by a disaster. Once an assessment is complete, communities are able
to receive help from both governmental and non-governmental organizations
that work within the disaster response community during recovery operations.
Shelter Operations: Shelter Fundamentals introduces the guidelines and pro-
cedures for setting up, running, and closing a shelter during a disaster.
Disaster Preparedness: This class will provide information on how the
participant can better prepare themselves, their church and community for
crisis events that will take place in the future. This class will highlight how ACS
DR can be a resource to the community where they live and work.
