W. Derrick Lea is the North American Division Associate Director of ACS, managing the Disaster Response Ministry. He retired as Deputy Chief over operations after 20.5 years of service for the Prince George’ s County Fire / EMS Department in 2011. Using the background developed in public safety, he began consulting and creating development plans for organizations. This led to the largest Muslim organization in the United States, Islamic Relief USA, requesting he lead their effort in forming a Disaster Response Team. After this, he was asked to lead all of their US programs, which included community engagement, grants, and disaster relief work. Derrick has been married over 20 years and has two adult children.
David A. Long is currently the church ministries director for the Southern Union Conference. He attended Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama where he received a bachelor of arts in Theology. He also received an MBA in Finance from Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the past 30 plus years, he has served as a literature evangelist, Adventist Book Center manager, pastor, and conference departmental director. He served as senior pastor of Patmos Chapel in Orlando, Florida which, under his leadership, became the first church in the Southeastern Conference to reach and surpass one million dollars in tithe. He
and his wife, Francine, have been married for 34 years. They have two adult children, David, Jr. and Derek( Jessica) and four wonderful grandchildren.
Norman McNulty is a board-certified neurologist practicing in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He is a native of Portland, Tennessee and graduated from Highland Academy in 1996. He also graduated from Southern Adventist University with a bachelor of science in Biochemistry in 2000 and then from Loma Linda University, School of Medicine, in 2004. He is also the speaker for the 11:00 am weekday presentation in the Raphan Ley Auditorium.
Dennis Millburn holds a bachelor of science in Business Management from Southern Adventist University and a master of science in Management. Dennis has served as treasurer at Highland Academy, and at various conferences as Assistant / Undertreasurer, Secretary / Treasurer, and Treasurer. Since 2006, he served as Undertreasurer of the Southern Union where he retired after 44 years. He is married to Bobbie Millburn. They enjoy traveling to various churches and providing seminars, called Dollars & $ ense, filled with practical training in personal finance, emphasizing strategies for living on one income. 11
