DONNA WALKER Alaska First Lady Walker has been a caseworker for the Office of Children’s Services and is the Honorary Chair of the Alaska Children’s Trust. She assists other organizations in improving the health, safety, and wellbeing of Alaska’s families, and is initiating efforts to strengthen unity in the state’s culturally diverse communities. DIANA RAUNER, First Lady of Illinois 8 DIANA RAUNER Illinois Dr. Rauner recently advocated for schools to provide social and emotional screenings for children starting school for the first time. Her husband, Governor Bruce Rauner, signed legislation in January 2017, providing schools with important tools to meet the needs of children and best support a healthy school climate.
