Artists-in-Residence
Program
Anderson Ranch’s Artists-in-
Residence Program fosters
creative,
intellectual
and
professional
growth
for
emerging and established
visual artists. Residents have
access to world-class facilities
and studio time, free from
everyday pressures. Residents
can pursue interdisciplinary
projects among a community
of working artists, and gain
feedback
from
prominent
Visiting Artists and Critics. The
Ranch setting is specifically
crafted to aid artists in the
production of their work. The
residency allows artists to take
risks and pursue new projects
and ideas. Resident artists
are provided housing, studio
space and meals. Residencies
are offered in ceramics, new
media, photography, furniture
design, woodworking, painting,
drawing,
printmaking
and
sculpture.
To say that this time as an Artist-in-Residence at the
Ranch has brought breath and valuable ceramics
resources back to my practice, does not begin to
elude to what that means for the new direction my
work has taken. I’ve managed to make around 40
new sculptures, 20 new prints, and 30 close friends
in a matter of a 10-week period. This is something
that might take up to a year to form and certainly
would not be as rewarding as this time here has
been. Needless to say, it has been nothing short of a
dream to be a part of. Thank you!
