Special Events Art and Artist Events Every year, Anderson Ranch hosts a variety of exciting events that bring the Snowmass and Aspen communities together, as well as art enthusiasts from around the country, to celebrate art and art making. These festive and lively events foster an exchange of ideas and inspiration all while providing exposure to top contemporary artists and local artists working in the Roaring Fork Valley. Many of these events are free and open to the public and all funds raised at these events support artistic and educational programs at Anderson Ranch. In 2018, revenue from special events was more than $1,500,000. 22nd Annual Recognition Dinner The 22nd Annual Recognition Dinner was attended by more than 300 guests at the Hotel Jerome, in Aspen, CO. Bunny and Charles Burson were honored with the Service to the Arts Award and Ai Weiwei with the International Artist Award. Works by top contemporary artists such as Jenny Holzer, Vik Muniz and Katie Stout were auctioned off in an exciting live auction.
