Included in the 2018 “Rebels in Paradise”
Critical Dialog Program was Hunter
Drohojowska-Philp, the art critic for KCRW,
89.9FM. She is the author of Rebels in Paradise:
The Los Angeles Art Scene and the 1960s,
Sensual Mechanical: The Art of Craig Kauffman
and Full Bloom: The Life and Art of Georgia
O’Keeffe and conducts interviews for the
Archives of American Art. Also included was
Renée Petropoulos, who has created projects
and exhibited internationally. Exhibitions and
performances include “Venice to Venice” as
part of the Hammer Museum’s “Made in L.A.”
and “Women in Surrealism” at LA County
Museum of Art, MARTE in San Salvador, El
Salvador, Screening in Philadelphia, LAMOA
in Eagle Rock, Beijing MOCA, and Hauser &
Wirth and the MAK in Los Angeles.
