Hurricane Harvey Relief Initiative
Workforce Solutions of the Coastal Bend (WFSCB)
continues to deliver needed workforce services
throughout the Coastal Bend region to communities still
impacted by Hurricane Harvey. These relief jobs will end on September 30, 2019. Job
seekers and self-employed workers may also qualify for
training to prepare them for available positions.
Short-term training is also available.
Although we have made progress, WFSCB knows that
some of our residents are out of work and still need some
help putting their lives back together. Some of the relief employment opportunities that are
currently available include jobs such as
which are just a few of the
occupations needed to help rebuild communities across
the Coastal Bend.
To date, WFSCB has placed 110 relief workers in jobs that
were created as a direct result of Hurricane Harvey and
are recruiting for another 62 open positions that are
spread throughout the six impacted counties including
Aransas, Bee, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio and San Patricio.
