World Championship Show Judges PATRICK BURTON, – TEXAS Photo by Impulse Photography Pat Burton has officiated at over 50 National, World and International events for the eight equine associations he is carded with. He also has experience as a successful trainer, breeder, coach, and exhibitor. He has served as an equine consultant to several major corporations, the POAC President and as a National Director. Pat has experienced a lifetime with horses starting on his family ranch in western Kansas. His involvement in the many facets of the equine industry continues with his reputation for innovative hoof solutions which brings visitors from over 50 countries to his shop. A Certified Journeyman Farrier, AFA Examiner, and member of the American Farriers Association and the Texas Professional Farriers Association for over 40 years, Pat is always eager to share his “passion for understanding the equine foot “and is continually striving to find better ways to address the issues that affect it. In 2006, Pat joined a group of veterinary professionals to incorporate HoofSolutions.com a manufacturing and wholesale company that produces wound and distal limb bandages, wound treatment medications and unique products for the equine professional. In 2014 Pat became a partner in Superior Equine Products, animal nutritional, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing company specializing in holistic and alternative care products for the horse owner. Pat Currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Farrier Industry Association (FIA) as Immediate Past President. SANDRA CURL, – FLORIDA Photo courtesy of the American Quarter Horse Journal  Sandra “Sandy” Curl resides in Vero Beach, FL. She and her sister operate Windswept Farms which is a boarding and training facility, where she instructs youth and amateur riders. Sandy is an AQHA Professional Horseman and holds judges cards with ten other horse breeds. She has judged internationally for the American Paint Horse Association and adjudicated at the Australian National Miniature Show as well. She has judged horse shows for over 30 years and has been an AMHA World Show Judge numerous times. Sandy’s family is very involved in the equine industry, her husband is a farrier and their daughter trains Quarter Horses in Texas. She is excited to be judging the AMHA World Show. WAYNE HIPSLEY, – KENTUCKY Wayne has been a licensed American Miniature Horse Association judge for over 30 years. During this time, he has assisted with the formation of the AMHA judge education and licensing programs, serving as a seminar instructor and consultant to the AMHA Licensed Officials Committee and marketing the AMHA internationally. This will be the fifth time Wayne has had the honor to serve as a judge for this important event in the AMHA calendar. Over the years, he has seen the evolution and improvement of the breed into a true Miniature Horse through selective breeding enhanced by the emphasis of show ring competition. One of the greatest areas of improvement is with the development of talented driving horses in all divisions, something that owners and exhibitors along with their trainers should be congratulated for. Wayne has conducted educational clinics and seminars pertaining to the Miniature Horse in twelve different countries and has judged hundreds of Miniature shows during his career.
