opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, process, and understanding of study skills, reading
skills, higher-level grammar, writing skills, and nonfiction writing that will support English
Composition 1 in a blended format.
75-861-852 ELL Speech Paired ...offered concurrently with the content course Speech 10-801-
198 to support the development and application of contextualized essential skills (reading,
written/oral communication, higher level grammar, organizational, computer and study skills).
75-861-874 PRE-GED (ELL) ...this course is designed as an introduction to ELL GED coursework
and includes an assessment of your current reading and writing skills as an ELL learner.
Students with a TABE class-E Reading Score of levels 1-3 will focus on GED-themed foundational
reading, language and math skills. Students will a TABE class-E Reading score at an ELL Level 4+
will also be assessed by TABE Reading, Language, and Math and will develop additional reading,
language and math skills.

to reduce their native accent through online activities in pronunciation, grammar, and fluency
training activities to improve English pronunciation skills.

basic reading and writing strategies to prepare them for college and career tasks. Students will

and 2. Students will create NWTC and Computer Basics Skills Course usernames and passwords.
