This year, Polk Vision has once again tackled
difficult issues, identifying inequities within
our community and strengthening our work
to address them. We have honed in on the
long term outcomes around which all of our
efforts will align and have worked diligently
on strategies that will create positive,
sustainable change. I am incredibly honored
to work with individuals who are dedicating
time and expertise to strive for excellence,
address the uncomfortable issues, ask the
difficult questions, engage diverse groups
in finding solutions, and redefine what it
means to work collaboratively throughout
our great county.

Polk Vision has done an outstanding job
of identifying and focusing on the most
significant issues facing the citizens of
our community. And more importantly
Polk Vision has assimilated a caring and
knowledgeable group of concerned and
connected individuals to make measurable
progress towards addressing these issues.
These individuals include our staff, our
Board, our Operating Board, our LEAD
Teams and every concerned citizen
willing to be involved in designing and
implementing solutions. We are all inclusive
and we connect with engaged problem
solvers across our County.
The work to be done is not for the faint
of heart. Progress requires perseverance,
endurance, patience and a never-ending
willingness to continue the pursuit of
our goals. I am continually impressed by
my friends and neighbor’s imagination,
dedication and fortitude. I have no doubt
that because of all the efforts of amazing
people that Polk County will continue
to improve and will lead the state and
the nation in building a community that
exceeds our wildest dreams. Go Polk!
