ANNOUNCING 5-2-1-0 PARTNERSHIP WITH FLORIDA SOUTHERN COLLEGE New in 2018 is the partnership with the Florida Southern College School of Nursing and Health Sciences. Nurse practitioner students will be instructed in the use and benefits of the 5-2-1-0 prescription tool. Students will then be given the opportunity to utilize the tool with pediatric patients during practicum rotations as well as introduce use of the prescription strategy to pediatric providers with whom they do their clinical rotations. Additionally, the implementation of the 5-2-1-0 tool within the student’s clinical practicum will strengthen the focus on disease prevention and health promotion in the clinical setting, allowing for a greater impact on pediatric patient health outcomes.
