Reduce the Obesity rate (BMI>30) in Polk
County to less than the state average (from
36.9 percent to 26.4percent).
Committed to advancing a culture of health across Polk County, the Worksite Wellness LEAD
Team provides education and support in the development and enhancement of wellness
programs to businesses in our community.
The Team has launched a series of listening sessions with local business leaders and HR
professionals to learn more about the challenges businesses face when implementing wellness
programs. Partnering with area Chambers of Commerce, this series of group discussions will
continue to be held in communities across the county throughout Fall 2018. Information learned
from these sessions will guide the future plans of the Team as they expand and promote a
culture of health and wellness in the workplace.

other businesses and learn about their wellness initiatives. It was
great to hear the experiences of others and realize the community
as a whole is working towards the same goal: wellness. I am excited
