Our programs offer every girl a chance to lead, shine, explore,
and learn...all while making memories that will last a lifetime!
Our 2018 - 2019 Program Guide is packed full of incredible
events and activities for an amazing year ahead.
CORE PROGRAM FOCUS
AREAS
As Girl Scouts discover themselves and their values,
connect with each other, and take action to make the
world a better place, they become leaders that will change
their communities. Our core Girl Scout program focus
areas help guide that leadership experience!
Entrepreneurship
Girl Scouts build their business savvy and
hone their financial literacy skills through
badge programs, online learning, and of
course, through the Girl Scout Fall Product and Cookie
Programs.
S.T.E.A.M.
From building a robot to designing
animation for a video game, to discovering
how a car’s engine runs and investigating
how pollution harms the environment, Girl Scouts
examine how science, technology, engineering, art, and
mathematics (STEAM) are relevant to everyday life.
Life Skills
Physical, social, and emotional health
help prepare Girl Scouts for a healthy and
independent future. Girl Scouts engage
with topics including self-esteem and
body image, nutrition, physical fitness, relational
aggression and bullying, strong relationships, and
positive lifestyle choices.

Outdoor
Girl Scouts unplug and explore the outdoors
by going hiking, learning how to cook over a
fire, rock climbing, kayaking on a lake, or by
going to camp. Girl Scouts connect with nature and learn
the ethics of care as environmental stewards.
Global
Girl Scouts become global citizens by
understanding and appreciating cultural
differences and by “thinking globally, acting
locally” to change their corners of the world.
With more than 10 million Girl Scouts and Girl Guides
across the world, Girl Scouts are connected to a special
international sisterhood. Girl Scouts also experience
global connection through travel.
Take Action
Girl Scouts create and implement projects
that make a lasting impact. Take Action
Projects are longer-term projects involving
measurable change, and Girl Scouts are
dedicated to taking action! Girl Scouts has a rich
history of empowering girls to help improve their
communities, and Take Action Projects are at the heart
of both Journey awards and Highest Awards (Bronze,
Silver, and Gold).
