Volleyball Volleyball

The Lady Cougars traveled to Scotland on September 29, and dominated. The team played four games and won all in two sets. Scores for each game were: Colome 25-8 and 25-14; TDA 25-9 and 25-11; AC/DC 25-17 and 25-15; and Avon 25-12 and 25-14.

At the end of the day, senior ,Lahna Matucha, had 11 aces, 27 kills, and 25 digs. Junior libero, Lainee Schonebaum, totaled 5 aces and 35 digs. Junior, Taylee Indahl, had an impressive 37 kills, 9 aces, and 32 digs. Setter, Bobbi Jo Wischmann, came in with 41 assists. Haley Benter, also a setter, totaled 38 assists and 6 aces.

Cougars Tell Pirates to Walk the Plank

The Lady Cougars faced the Avon Pirates in Avon on October 2. The Cougars came out on top after four sets. The scores were 25-22, 25-19, 27-29, and 25-15.

The most kills of the game went to Taylee Indahl with 23. Lahna Matucha was close behind with 19 kills. Lahna also had 25 digs. Bobbi Jo Wischmann had 19 digs and 30 assists on the day. The most aces went to Taylee Indahl with a total of 5.

Cougars Host Jaguars

The team was able to stay home on October 4 for their game against Corsica-Stickney. The Cougars won in three matches with scores of 25-11, 25-10, and 25-13.

Taylee Indahl totaled 15 kills and 14 digs while Lahna Matucha had 9 kills and 15 digs. Lainee Schonebaum came in with 3 aces and 14 digs. Setters, Bobbi Jo Wischmann and Haley Benter had 18 and 10 assists respectively.

Lady Cougars Sweep Tripp-Delmont/Armour

It was another home game for the Cougars against Tripp-Delmont/Armour on October 6. It was quick work for the team with a victory in three sets. The scores were 25-6, 25-10, and 25-9.

Lahna Matucha accumulated 11 kills and 9 digs. Lainee Schonebaum led with 11 digs. Taylee Indahl racked up 5 aces, 10 kills, and 11 digs. Bobbi Jo Wischman totaled 5 aces and 17 assists.

When asked for her thoughts on the tournament, Coach Billie Jo Indahl said this, "I thought the girls did a great job of defining themselves during this tournament. They came out and played like they were the top seed going in! They didn't let up all day and really worked together to get the job done. They stayed disciplined on getting things accomplished which helped them capture the championship."
