First Grade Learn About Global Holidays
During the month of December, the First Grade class learned about the different holidays celebrated around the world. They also read the Laura Ingalls Wilder book, "Little House in the Big Woods." While reading the book, the first graders learned how times have changed through the years and how lucky they are to live like they do.
Second Grade Study the Terrain
The Second Grade started learning about flat maps and 3D maps. They are learning about the differences between the two. To help them learn about the maps, the students are making their own out of dough. The class also made Christmas wreaths out of tissue paper.
The Kindergarten class learned a lot during the month of December. The class worked really hard to learn ten numbers and also learned word building.
The class studied reindeer and learned what they look like, what they eat, and all about their body parts. The class also made a few crafts in connection to learning about reindeer.
