What are your hopes for the upcoming golf season?
"This season I just want everyone to play at their own personal best. I want all of us to walk off the course and feel proud of our game. Winning is really great, but I want everyone to enjoy the game. Hopefully enjoying what we're doing will help us succeed throughout the season." -Emily Stukel
"We are looking forward to the Burke Cougar Golf Season this year as we have four returning 2018 state tournament qualifiers returning. Emily Stukel, Taylee Indahl, Adisyn Indahl and Bryce Frank all participated in last year's state golf tournament and return for the 2019 golf season. The Cougar golfers will begin their season at the Class B Classic in Mitchell on April 5. The girl's team will be a foursome of Emily, Taylee, Adisyn and Brecken Bartling. The boys team will compete with Bryce, Cade Bailey and Jesse Dummer.
Other golfers participating on the JV level are Ludwig Soderberg, Zane Goitia, Tristan Massa, and Devin Liewer. Middle school golfers are Jay Broome, Garner Burrus, Cade Burrus, Quinten Bull, Ava Hausmann, Callie Davis, Laney Spencer, Olivia Bull, Ava Sargent and Sienna Merrills.
Our goal for this season is to send a girls and boys team to the state golf tournament in Mitchell on June 3 & 4 and bring home another State Championship Title!"
