On the basis of this fiscal improvement and the
growth in the size of the economy, the ratio of debt-to-GDP
is projected at 57.2 per cent at the end of the 2017/18 fiscal
year.
VI. REVENUE MEASURES IN THIS BUDGET
Mr. Speaker,
For the fiscal year 2018/2019 the government is
faced with stark and urgent fiscal realities that will require
substantial enhanced revenues and the accompanying
upward adjustments in certain taxes and fees. I will address
the substantial elements of these increases in detail later in
