MY EVALUATION OF THE UBMS
I think overall , communication seems to be the problem . A lot of conflicts result from an individual not saying anything . Anyways I think that lunch and dinner are too close together , because often times I find myself not hungry for dinner . I think sports should be in between lunch and dinner , that way we can be hungry for dinner , and the evenings will allows us to work on homework more often . Also , I feel that there ’ s not enough personal time I always feel in a rush to call home , do laundry , relax , shower , small things that count at the end . For Siemens Competition , I feel that it could ’ ve been planned much more ahead . This way you can realize whether or not the class should be offered or not . I like the whole idea , of working on the competition , but it just seems too impersonal , to rushed , high expectation with little experience and time . - Christopher
My thoughts on UBMS is , that I really liked it here , its like a whole new adventure . I came here with a few friends and I ’ m going to leave here with a whole family . I love the people and some of the faculties , I think for improvements , we should have better math teachers , ones that explain better step by step and not assume we know everything . -Shirley
I absolutely love this program . It is such a relief to be able to surround myself with similar people and to work hard while still having fun . Becoming adjusted to living on campus is a big plus as well , sometimes I prefer staying in the dorms to going home on the weekends ! I think some of the students could be a little more respectful and serious at certain times , and there appears to be some miscommunications every now and then , but other than that I think UBMS is amazing . - Elizabeth
I like the summer program but I kind of wish that local kids had the option to stay over the weekend too , because it would save our parents gas . ( Especially if you are like me and live an hour away ) I also wish we could sleep a little later so that we teenagers can get an even better amount of sleep . It would also be nice if you had more elective options instead of forcing kids to play sports . - Nate
I think the program has been good and really liked the people in it . It distracts me form getting bored but sometimes there is too much homework at the same time . I wanted to say that it would have been better to have a much more variety of food in the cafeteria but I am not sure about that . - Angela

On a scale 1 to 10 I would rate the program a 7.5 because there was a few ups but more downs . The repetitive talking is just going on and on to where the RA ’ s take out the anger on everyone including those who listened the first time . Due to that reason some get annoyed and those who are ignorant for not following the rules ruin the fun stuff for those who are excited for . What could be improved as well is the fact that when a student tries to explain their point of view over a conflict they just get interrupted therefore they end up talking back to a staff member and such . Oh yea the hat removal inside buildings should be removed , the fact that I have a bad hair day usually since my hair is out of control I feel uncomfortable showing off my ridiculous hair . After my hat was taken up I was furious because another person from the same group was wearing it but was not told to give it up because they “ did not see them ” wearing it . Absolutely ridiculous . I would have preferred last year , but since the female RA ’ s were making me feel disgusted for keeping an eye on me every second that I do a muscle movement makes me even more furious because this program is to make us feel what is like being in college , not having a parent hold you by the hand while you are in college , but hey that is just my opinion after all . - Martin
What I think about the program is that it is a good way to prepare students for college and it can provide students with real life college experience . One thing that I like about the program is that the classes are not that hard . One thing that the program can improve is the learning curriculum . - Rafael
