“ The responsibility like cleaning and providing for yourself forces you to act in a mature way.”
Living in campus has been really different to living at home but you get adapted to college life pretty quickly. On the first few days most of us were confused on where to go, and how to get there without getting lost, etc. This experience has been going pretty well so far and having a more freedom than we usually do back in the high school feels amazing. But that also means more responsibility into getting to class in time or feeling the need to skip your next class. It made me a little more comfortable into leaving for college and live on my own in an apartment or dorm. It might not be as private as you would like it to be but it doesn’ t really matter if you learn how to cope and live with that person you have to move-in with later on in college. I am attached to my home and haven’ t really lived somewhere for a period of time longer than a few days so this has changed my perspective on leaving my home.- Angela
Living on campus has been one of the best experiences in my high school career. It gives me the independence of being completely in charge of my own work and allows me to become comfortable and familiar with the campus. Having room and dorm mates who are all around my same age is also pleasant. I am good friends with some of the girls on my floor and feel like I have developed a strong support system that will be around for quite a while.-Elizabeth

DORM LIFE
To be honest living on campus is a bit exhausting. The responsibility like cleaning and providing for yourself forces you to act in a mature way. The pros of living on campus is convince of dorm-mates, classes being nearby, and safety. Dorm-mates allows for networking and the opportunity to meet new people. Dorm-mates could help with homework, or borrowing things. Classes nearby means the opportunity to sleep a bit more, which is crucial. Safety because per se if you rent an apartment, you don’ t necessarily know who your neighbor is. There is cameras and actual officers monitoring the campus probably 24 / 7.- Christopher
Living on campus has been a good experience so far. I’ ve been granted the chance to know how it would feel like living as a college student. It has taught me to be more independent because now I can’ t really depend on my family because they live miles away from me. It helped me by making me more prepared for when I leave for more than a month and it also has taught me to be more social so I won’ t be a lone. In conclusion, living on campus has been a great experience.- Daisy
I’ ve enjoyed staying here at the UTA campus. There is definitely a great community within the student populace. The teachers are friendly and always helpful as well. I do believe that this experience thus far has better prepared me to move away for college, and I will be given a great advantage when I do so thanks to the UBMS program.- Antonio
