OUTREACH AND EDUCATION Philanthropic Support Our work would not be possible without the philanthropic support of multiple partner organizations, including CoBank, the Denver Firefighters Charitable Foundation, QEP Resources, BCER Engineering, Inc., All 4 Fun Mile High Jeep Club, Colorado Fire Protection Association, Schomp Automotive, Western States Fire Protection Association, American Camping Association and the Colorado Firefighter Calendar. We appreciate their volunteer efforts and financial contributions, both of which contribute to the growth and development of our trauma and burn centers. JFS Program 2017 by the numbers 70 Outside referrals from fire departments, schools, mental health services, juvenile justice and parents 30 Completed evaluations and interventions 41 Family members attended evaluations and interventions 71 Juvenile Fire Setting Evaluation and Treatment Program The Juvenile Fire-Setting Evaluation and Treatment Program was designed in response to the increasing need for specialized community services addressing juvenile fire-setting behaviors. Individually or in multifamily groups, the program focuses on helping youth make safer decisions. Community Events Evaluation and intervention participants 58 We provide and participate in a wide range of events, from community and fundraising activities to conferences and continuing education for medical professionals. Our injury prevention program has a long history of advocating to improve the health and safety of children. 58 In 2017, we hosted a community support activity for families healing from a burn injury at Winter Skate in Louisville, Colorado. The community events provide opportunities for connecting families to other families, the fire service and community partners.
