Trophy Mountain Lion Hunts We have great outfitters , for big trophy Toms , in Montana , British Columbia , Idaho , Colorado , and New Mexico . These are all hound hunts , with warm lodging and great meals . Hunt transportation will vary from 4x4s , snowmachine , horses , and ATV ’ s . Hunt length will typically be 5-7 days . Some outfitters prefer fixed dates , and some outfitters prefer to have you “ on-call ”, when ideal conditions exist . Prices range from $ 5000- $ 8500 . Licenses , in most cases , are over the counter , although Montana is on a drawing for the best season , and then a harvest quota system exists .
