ALUMNI UPDATES This is a new feature for the OS Newsletter. We asked our alumni to share some updates since graduation and we got some great stories! 2004 Jeannette Gessler’s, formerly Jeannette Dupure, husband founded a tech company 10 years ago, and along with their 1-year old daughter they are “living the San Francisco dream.” 2005 Jeff rey Kominsky married in 2015, has a new 10-month old girl, and was recently announced as partner of a national law firm. 2006 Last year, two of our 2006 alumni, Rebecca (Becky) Eisen and Gina Valo, were asked by the OS Director to join our OS Leadership Committee meeting! Since then, we learned that Gina recently got married. Becky celebrated a promotion to Senior Customer Product Manager at McCormick and Company, and gave birth to her second child, Isaac Eliezer Kutcher. 2007 Daren Martin is a regional director for a tech firm and was married a year and a half ago. Lauren Moloney-Egnatios also recently married and is working her dream job at UC Berkeley’s International House as a trainer/consultant/coach. 2008 Jenna Brubaker completed her Master’s and received an Organizational and Leadership Coaching Certification from Northwestern University. She is now working at YMCA of the US leading teams whose focus is strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Bradley Stulberg authored a book called PEAK PERFORMANCE. Congratulations to Patricia Theokas on getting married this year! Rachel Welford joined American Airlines as Director of Security and Regulatory Aff airs. 2010 2015 In the last couple of years, Danielle Bulger, formerly Danielle Wright, was married and graduated from law school. Congratulations to Jenna Fiore who was married this past June. Grace Gale will be attending law school in the fall. Julia Kehoe and Katie Larin both completed a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and now live around the corner from one another in Boston. Catherine Spevak just started a new job as a Financial Operations Associate at a hedge fund in the Bay Area. 2011 Mitchell Crispell received a Masters in City Planning. Caroline Rooney launched a menswear and style company in the San Francisco Bay area last year and was married earlier this year. Juleah Szopo is PHR certified and working in the energy field. 2012 Maor Cohen will be attending Columbia Business school this coming fall. Jonathan Hulting-Cohen co-hosted the 35th Annual New England Saxophone Symposium this past March and Cassandra Mills was recently engaged. 2013 Joi Claiborne is a program specialist and manager for the Skills for Success program at KIPP Houston. Jack Duiven is working for New Life Church and leads their summer leadership program for students on Mackinac Island. Michelle Rubinstein and Eric Stulberg are back to school, with Michelle at Columbia for an M.S. in Nutrition and Eric returning to pursue a degree in the healthcare field aft er spending a year in Spain. 2014 Eli Burstein was honorably discharged from the Peace Corps aft er serving in Costa Rica. Emily Leff erts, formerly Emily Zacek, was married this past June and received the honor of being named the Center for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE)’s District V Vaughn Dann Development Newcomer Fellow. Ashley Reid is back in Ann Arbor to complete her Master’s in Health Services Administration at the School of Public Health. 2016 Nathan Novaria is a member of the UM LSA Dean’s Young Alumni Council and a host com- mittee member for the Chicago Children’s Museum’s Hide n’ Seek fundraising event. Aft er graduation, Madison Romney traveled solo for a month across Europe. 2017 Vivian Chiang just completed a 3-month cultural immersion program in Israel- Palestine, which had her living with 3 diff erent host families from the 3 dominant faith communities there (Muslim, Jewish, Christian) and volunteering with local organizations.
