DO I NEED A PASSPORT? CAN I BRING LIVE BAIT INTO CANADA?

• • It is illegal to bring any crayfish, salamanders, live fish or
leeches into Ontario for use as bait. Night crawlers are
allowed if brought in containers with artificial bedding only.
All U.S. residents need a passport to travel to Canada or
overseas. Children under 16 only need proof of US citizenship
if arriving by land. More info: travel.state.gov
All international travellers require a passport.
WHAT CAN I BRING INTO CANADA?

There are limits on the amount of alcohol, tobacco you can
bring into Canada as well as restrictions on certain food
products. Dogs and cats need a valid rabies vaccination

CAN I ENTER CANADA WITH A DUI (DWI)?
• If you have a felony or misdemeanour conviction such as a DUI
(DWI), you may not be allowed into Canada. There are many
variables in deciding who is allowed to enter and ultimately
it is at the discretion of the border official as you enter Canada.

DO I NEED A FISHING LICENSE?

All non-residents of Canada need a current non-resident
fishing license and a non-resident Outdoors card. Non-
residents under 18 do not need a fishing license if fishing with
a licensed family member. Canadian residents need a current
resident fishing license and Outdoors Card. To purchase a

DO I NEED A HUNTING LICENSE?
• Non-residents must have one of the following to obtain a
hunting license:
- An Ontario non-resident hunting license issued after Jan. 1,
1968
- A hunting license issued to you after Jan. 1, 1968 by a
competent authority
- An Ontario hunting license verification showing your license
to hunt in Ontario or that you passed the hunting license
examination

CAN I BRING FIREARMS INTO CANADA?
US residents over 18 may bring in a rifle or shotgun for hunting
purposes only. Visitors are required to declare the firearms in
writing using a Non-Resident Firearm Declaration Form. Please
