Health begins at home. I am a proponent of One Health, the integrative effort of multiple
disciplines working locally, nationally, and globally to attain optimal health for people, animals,
and the environment. I was born in Dubrovnik, Croatia and immigrated to Madison, New
Jersey, as a young child. After graduating from Brown University, I wanted to pursue a career
in medicine, a life-long interest of mine. I chose veterinary medicine over human medicine as
my career, receiving my DVM degree from Michigan State University. While owning and
operating my own small animal veterinary clinic in Bernardsville, New Jersey, for the last 22
years, I have seen first-hand the need for proper preventive health care for companion animals,
as well as for my clients attached to the leash. As a veterinarian, I espouse fear-free comprehensive
health care for my patients, using only the safest, best medicines and the most current
techniques, with an emphasis on ample time, focused attention and superlative customer service.
My passion is getting families off to the right start with their puppies and kittens. As a One Health
proponent, I also engage my human contacts with the core belief of optimal preventive health care.
