Emily Hilderbrand and 2 Mini 4 Feet Lily Fae Emily Hilderbrand and 2 Mini 4 Feet Lily Fae, aka Chloe, has shown exceptional skills as a therapy horse. Emily has been gaining Mini Hours with her horses in several ways. She is in a 4-H club that uses Miniature horses exclusively. As a club they practice weekly on Halter, Showmanship, Halter Obstacle, and Hunter. They also visit the local nursing home every year and bring the Minis along for the residents to interact with. Emily and Chloe always try to improve their skills and they like to try new things too. Emily is happiest when she can help someone else improve their performance as well. She has loaned a club member one of her horses to show when her friend’s horse was under the weather. Emily, and all the other children, are great at cheering each other on to do their best. Auburn Oaks Fanci Encore and Jayne Arrowood Auburn Oaks Fanci Encore, aka. Emmy and Jayne have had a great time participating in the AMHA Mini Hours Program. They have spent time together doing things like trail driving, various clinics, fun days and two Horse Driving Trials- which are events that include dressage, cones, and a marathon. These two day driving trials were an especially challenging learning experience for both Emmy and Jayne. Their plans for the future include doing more driving demonstrations for youth, lots of trail drives, competing in more driving trial events and trying their hand at obstacle driving. Jayne counts herself lucky to have found a little horse as special as Emmy. She and Jayne have built their relationship on trust and love and it shows in everything they set out to accomplish. Ann Olujic and Shades of Blues Robin Robin and Ann have been partners for almost 9 years and have become quite a team.  Ann loves working with Robin as the mare is incredibly sweet, quiet, eager to learn and incredibly smart!  She is quick to learn something new, making it much more fun to keep teaching her additional skills.  She takes it all in stride and never gets mad, antsy or upset about anything, just doing what she asked. (It helps that she knows there are lots of treats and hugs when lessons are done).  Ann and Robin spend a majority of their time driving and have recently started taking driven dressage lessons.  Robin has really taken to this training, even amazing the trainer at how quickly she learns.  In addition, this team spends extra time working on showmanship and halter obstacle training – other skills that just add to the repertoire of this sweet, unflappable mare. 4 Miniature Horse World April 2017 I’m So Sexy Almost Evil of Lilaclane and Carolyn Menzer I’m so Sexy Almost Evil of Lilaclane has taught Carolyn a lot about showing in halter classes. They attended just some fun shows this year. The mares beauty and spirit come shining through and she is a pleasure to work with and show.
