Ann Olujic and KBM Kickin Backs Hawks Wayward Son KBM Kickin Backs Hawks Wayward Son , aka Wade , is a young , 4-year-old gelding . He is quite a sassy character with his youthfulness making him not as quiet as Ann ’ s other horse and a bit more challenging . While he is good to work with and willing to learn , he does try to figure out how not work or at least to not work too hard !
Most of their time spent together has been spent accustoming Wade to the harness , teaching him to drive and then going through cart training . Ann ’ s time and patience with Wade have improved his cart skills , preparing him to show in the cart this year for the first time . Ann has also spent hours teaching Wade to jump . Here his aptitude really shines as he seems to love jumping and is quite good at it . Through it all , Ann has learned to appreciate Wade ’ s sassy attitude at home . Thankfully , he ’ s a showman at heart and becomes all business when he is in the show arena . We expect big things from these two in the upcoming show year .
Oak Bay Sassy Edition and Bella Walker Bella fell in love with Sassy the first time she saw her and began working extra hard to save money to buy her . Once Bella purchased Sassy in the fall of 2016 , they focused on training to make her an all around horse . They worked on being a team in and out of the arena , building trust with one another , and eating watermelon !
These two have much more to learn and improve on and they look forward to the next few years in the youth division of AMHA . While developing new skills and working towards each show , they have met new friends and hope to meet many more . Their goals for the next 500 hours include : cart driving with distinct gaits , not anticipating in halter obstacle and developing a more controlled posture in showmanship .
Bella and Sassy want to send out a big thank you to all the people , horses , dogs ( and Wilbur the pig ) for their encouragement and support . They could not have come this far without any of you !
Riverdances Rootin Tootin Cowboy and Lena Reed Lena purchased Cowboy as a two year old in 2012 for her daughter ’ s Christmas present . He was the easiest horse to train and has been an awesome horse for both her daughters to learn with . Cowboy works for whomever she hands the lead too . He was highpoint mini at their local shows in halter , showmanship , trail , jumping and driving . He is truly an all-around horse .
Their goal for the future would be to someday show Cowboy at the AMHA World Show in the youth division . For now he is the model for Lena ’ s Miniature horse halters that she makes for her tack business . Cowboy is very loved and just the best horse the Reed family could have ever asked for .
