PWGA REPRESENTATIVE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The PWGA Rep is one of the MOST important persons in the PWGA organization. She acts as the direct link between her club and the Area Director who is a member of the Executive Board of PWGA. All of the Board members look to the PWGA Rep to carry the messages of management to their clubs. Materials will be sent to her requiring her timely actions in order to see that her club is an active and responsible member of the Association: most of these communications will be via email. Some of their materials and responsibilities include:
1.
Renewal of club and individual membership dues.
2.
PWGA Team Play participation and direction.
3.
Posting and informing her club of both PWGA and USGA actions affecting her club.
4.
Posting and informing her club of PWGA Member Playdays and communicating with the Area
Tournament Chair.
5.
Posting and informing her club of any pertinent information in the PWGA Executive Board minutes
regarding her area or club.
6.
Posting, informing and encouraging her club members to play in the PWGA Tournaments.
7.
Assisting in the conducting of a tournament at her own home course if requested.
8.
Assisting the club Handicap Chair, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator and Captain at her club
to ensure that the club records and requirements are up to date and correct.
9.
Encourage her club to participate in the many PWGA activities offered to our members, including
attendance at workshops, area meetings and the Annual Meeting.
10.
Reporting Hole in One accomplishments of members to the PWGA office for the award.
11.
Assist with Course Rating at home course if requested.
PWGA Reps are encouraged to attend the Area Workshop to meet members of the Executive Board and to network with PWGA Reps from other clubs. As a small token of our appreciation each PWGA Representative will receive a Rep pin at the beginning of her term of service. Pins are usually distributed at the Area Workshops.
The Executive Board wishes to thank all of the women who have served or are currently serving as PWGA Reps for their clubs. Without you we would not have the communication we have with our member clubs. We continue to count on your enthusiasm and hard work. THANK YOU!
