HANDICAP- PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES

Golf is a game of integrity and it is the responsibility of PWGA members to post all acceptable scores. The Club Handicap Committee will assess a penalty score for members who consistently neglect to follow correct procedures.
Acceptable scores:
• All scores made in 18 hole rounds, and / or 9 hole rounds.
• If 13 or more holes are played, the player must post an 18-hole score. If 7 to 12 holes are played, the player must post a 9-hole score. In either case, scores for unplayed holes must be recorded as par plus any handicap strokes that the player is entitled to receive on the unplayed holes.
• Scores must be made under the Rules of Golf and both match play and stroke play scores shall be posted.
Unacceptable scores:
• When fewer than 7 holes are played
• When a majority of the holes are not played in accordance with the principles of the Rules of Golf
• Plays 2 balls in the round
• Player takes a playing lesson during the round
• When the length of the course is less than 3,000 yards for 18 holes
• When, as a condition of the competition, the maximum number of golf clubs allowed is less than 14 or types of clubs are limited such as only irons
• When scores are made on a course with no USGA Course Rating and Slope
• When a player carries or uses non-conforming clubs or uses non-conforming balls
• When artificial devices( as defined under rule 14-3) are used during the execution of a stroke
