Happy Halloween!
2017 Trick or Treating in Lake Linganore is on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. The recommended time for Trick or Treating on Halloween is between 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Members of the community are asked to be vigilant, not only during this time frame, but prior to and afterwards, of trick or treaters.
Line of Sight: School Buses
Please check your property to ensure the line of sight while driving is not obstructed by a tree, bush, or structure. Please trim back any trees, bushes, or plants to appropriately open a line of sight to ensure safety within our roadways. Adequate line of sight is especially important while school buses are regularly navigating through the neighborhood.
Trash Collection
Residents are reminded that trash containers must be placed at the curb for collection either the evening before collection or no later than 7:00 am on the morning of collection. Please do not anticipate when the trash contractor will be in your area as the contractor will be adding additional trucks in order to speed up the collection process. Household waste collection day in Lake Linganore is on a Tuesday unless otherwise notified by the Association.
Culvert Cleaning
To ensure that drainage and stormwater management systems operate properly, it is important for residents to do their best to maintain clear culverts in front of their home. Working with your neighbors to keep culverts free of large amounts of debris will help avoid drainage issues during a weather event.
Respecting Private Property
There are many areas in LLA where private property borders amenities or common spaces, such as: trails, parks, beaches, etc. Sometimes residents create short cuts over time, where there seems to be a more direct natural path. Please be respectful of private property as you navigate through the community. What appears to be a walking path, may actually be cutting through a private backyard.
Mailbox Manners
When retrieving your mail from grouped mailbox areas, please be courteous and prompt in retrieving mail and moving your vehicle so other residents can access the area.
