“ Proper Grounds Storage”

Although we haven’ t had much, snow season is upon us! With snow come salt, shovels, sleds, and other various snow time accessories. It is important for homeowners to make sure they are putting items away after use so that fellow residents can enjoy the winter days.
Homeowners are responsible for maintaining the appearance of their yard, which includes the items being stored in the yard. Salt, shovels, sleds, etc. should be neatly placed out of sight when not in use. Not only is this important for the neighborhood aesthetics, but also because those items stored on the lawn can cause a nuisance to others. Have you ever found a sled in your yard? Or a shovel that wasn’ t yours? Or seen a salt bag in a swale? Chances are that you have and have maybe aided in the return or clean up as well.
The covenants read as follows:
“ Covenants Article VII. 2. Prevent Unkempt Building and Grounds. It shall be the responsibility of each lot owner to prevent the development of any unclean, unsightly or unkempt conditions of buildings or grounds on such lot which shall tend to substantially decrease the beauty of the neighborhood as a whole or in the specific area. No building material shall be stored on any lot, except temporarily during continuous construction of a building, unless enclosed out of view in a service yard or within a building.”
