Supporting the Kiawah Conservancy : Our Donors
As a grassroots organization , the Kiawah Conservancy relies on the generosity of its donors to fund all activities . Our efforts focus on research about the habitats and wildlife on Kiawah Island to discover ways to enhance and maintain both for future generations .
••
We work to educate residents and visitors about ways they can participate in these efforts .
••
We have sponsored symposiums about designing with nature , loggerhead turtles , alligators , and shorebirds .
••
In early 2019 we will present a program about our iconic bobcats .
••
We offer monthly programs featuring conservation topics .
••
We publish our award-winning magazine Naturally Kiawah twice each year .
••
We have established the Naturally Kiawah Demonstration Garden in Night Heron Park and the Maritime Forest Nature Trail on Conifer Lane .
••
We have created our Pathways App to guide people around the Island on their smartphones and tablets , and our Discovery Agents App with Kiawah Conservancy Explores Bobcat Trail .
••
We sponsor research about alligators , bobcats , turtles , and birds .
The list is long , and we are proud of our accomplishments over the past twenty years , but we know that our efforts will have been in vain if we do not keep our programs strong in the next twenty . Thanks to support from so many sources we believe our work will continue .
