Lutheran Services in Iowa's Refugee Community Services
Program provides extended support services to refugees in the Des
Moines area. Typically, newly arrived refugees in the U.S. receive only 90
days of formal support, making it difficult to adequately address the vast
language and cultural barriers that often await them.
