Food packaged by Jasper County Kids Against Hunger is distributed to
hungry people in the United States and around the world. Food has been
distributed through Liberty Ministries to local food banks in Iowa and to
Joplin, MO. Larger quantities have been sent to established orphanages
and schools in Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala, Albania and South Africa.
Since the Jasper County organization began in 2009 nearly 200,000 meals
have been packaged. Each meal costs approximately 25 cents for food,
packaging, materials and shipping.

HOW TO HELP
Donations may be sent to Jasper County Kids Against Hunger in care of
Bill Bennett, Treasurer, 513 South Third Avenue, East, Newton, IA
50208. In addition to donations, interested groups or individuals may form
a team of 12 members and join in a packaging event. It costs $360 to host
a team of 12 or $30/person. Individuals may also arrange to host a
packaging event for their group. Typically Jasper County Kids Against
Hunger hosts three packaging events a year.
