They work together to engage citizens through research-based educational programs and resources. Through partnerships they increase the ability of Iowans to make informed decisions by applying relevant, needs-driven resources to create significant impact in our state. Their activities include: the Woodbury County 4-H Program to empower youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults, Community and Economic Development Workshops conducted with community organizations, individuals and leaders to help develop and implement plans for physical and social community improvements, a Food Security Program which works to ensure the long term profitability of Iowa agricultural producers and increasing production capacity of the agricultural sector while protecting natural resources, Food Safety and Nutrition Courses which help people in Woodbury County to access and eat safe, nutritious, and healthy foods, and Family Life and Finance which strives to promote healthy behavior and relationships to help people make decisions that improve and transform their lives.
