Iowa Homeless Youth Centers serves 3 meals daily, 7 days a week at
their Facility located at 612 Locust Street in Des Moines. IHYC provides
cooking classes on a weekly basis and are in the beginning stages of
building a Rooftop Garden that is meant to be a social entrepreneurial
venture. Youth will be employed in internships to help run the garden.

HOW TO HELP
Volunteers are needed to serve meals to their youth. In addition to the
Outreach Center, they have two Transitional Living facilities where
volunteers can serve meals to youth who are getting back on their feet.
