Pick A Better Snack is a statewide nutrition program through the Iowa
Nutrition Network and the Iowa Department of Public Health. Pick A Better
Snack aims to increase healthy behaviors in students and families through
nutrition education and promotion of nutrition programs such as SNAP,
School Lunch, Summer Food Service Program, and farmers markets.
Activities include presentations to school classes and distribution of
educational materials to support healthy eating decisions among Iowa
families.
