Operation can be improved
using Intelligent Boom Control
(IBC), now available on the 1270G
harvester’s CH7 boom. With
IBC, the operator controls the
harvester head while the system
simultaneously adjusts the boom’s
movement, creating smoother
boom movements, reducing stress
on the entire boom, and increasing
the operator ergonomics.
With the harvester, the IBC
operation has been specially
designed to suit the harvester’s
work cycle. The boom’s movement
and operation automatically adjust
as the boom is taken to a tree and
when the tree is in the grapple. For
new operators, IBC accelerates the
learning curve, increasing operator
productivity.
