Welcome to Elmia Wood , which this year is larger , broader and more interesting than ever . With the premiere of the new Load & Transport section , the fairground area in the forest is significantly larger and includes new segments in logistics and timber handling .
Two more new sections , Hunting and the Drone Zone , also contribute innovations to this year ’ s fair . More than 550 exhibitors from some 30 countries are now waiting for the opportunity to present their solutions for a whole range of requirements .
The daily programme , which includes shows , competitions , award ceremonies , social events and seminars , is more packed than ever . Demonstrations and world premieres at the exhibitors ’ stands will attract large crowds . The demo areas are also larger this year and contain everything from trials of new machines to full-scale final felling .

Three Volvo companies combine forces
Three of the Volvo Group ’ s companies are sharing the largest stand at Elmia Wood in the new Load & Transport section .
“ It ’ s the first time we ’ re doing such a campaign in Sweden ,” says Lisa Arwenhielm , who is in charge of the Group ’ s participation at the fair .

The three companies are Volvo Penta , Volvo Construction Equipment ( VCE ) and Volvo Trucks . The last-mentioned is an obvious presence in the forest industry and at forestry fairs with its timber trucks . VCE also has a solid forest pedigree , with its loaders and excavators doing earthmoving work , building forest roads and working at timber yards . Volvo Penta is a world-leading supplier of engines for industrial and marine use .
Last year Volvo Penta signed agreements with several manufacturers of forest machines . First was Eco Log , where Volvo
Penta is supplying its D8 engine for four harvesters in the new E series . At Elmia Wood Eco Log is presenting these harvesters equipped with Volvo ’ s efficient diesel engines .
