An LH855D tackles a tough roadside processing
and 250D are available ( designated the T234B and T250D ). The loader undercarriage is built for full forest duty cycles . It has a wide stance and long track frames for excellent stability and flotation . The undercarriage has a high carbody clearance and powerful tractive effort for “ excellent infield mobility ”, according to Tigercat .
The tracked variants of the 200-series loaders offer high performance and mobility for easy positioning at roadside or in the mill yard . LH855D and H855D track harvesters Tigercat ’ s LH855D and H855D track harvesters are a robust , purpose-built solution for processing both at the landing and in the woods .
The H855D series harvesters are available with two-piece or telescopic ER boom systems . Tigercat ’ s patented ER boom technology allows the machine operator to extend and retract the boom on a horizontal plane smoothly and quickly using a single joystick . The stick boom or reach joystick controls both the main and stick booms simultaneously , resulting in the attachment moving
either away from or toward the operator .
The engine and hydraulic system are specifically designed to achieve maximum performance and minimum fuel consumption in harvesting and processing applications . High horsepower allows the carriers to maintain hydraulic flow as the pressure increases , maintaining quick feed speeds and significantly boosting productivity . The H855D series carriers are an excellent fit with the Tigercat 575 harvesting head .
For steep slope applications , the LH855D features Tigercat ’ s patented levelling system , providing exceptional stability in steep slope applications . It uses two massive hydraulic cylinders and heavy steel sections for a solution that is both simple and robust .
Due to the unique geometry of the levelling system , the machine is well balanced on slopes . In addition , the ramped undercarriage ( both the front idler and the rear gearbox are set higher than the centreline of the undercarriage ) allows the machines to easily drive
up over rocks and stumps . 880D logger .
The 880D is the latest evolution of Tigercat ’ s highly versatile 880 series logger that can be equipped for loading , shovel logging or processing . It has been upgraded to the Tigercat FPT N67 engine outputting 230 kW ( 308 hp ) at 2,000 rpm . The reliable and fuel efficient N67 engine is available in Tier 2 and Tier 4f configurations . The swing bearing diameter has increased from 1,370 mm ( 54 in ) to 1,565 mm ( 62 in ). The larger bearing provides increased capacity and swing torque .
The massive single-piece , forged pedestal strengthens the undercarriage and improves durability . The 880D has plenty of cooling capacity with an automatic variable speed fan for improved fuel efficiency and an automatic reversing cycle to clean the heat exchangers . Another fuel saving feature is the energy recovery swing system .
A closed loop drive feeds power back to the engine when swing decelerates , reducing fuel consumption and recovering
energy for other machine functions . Service access is outstanding with the power operated side engine door and overhead roof enclosure . Shields separate the engine from the hydraulic pumps and valves .
The entire upper assembly is designed for extreme duty . Heavy wall side bumpers and a solid cast counterweight protect the upper assembly from impacts when swinging . The 880D provides an ideal work environment . Convenient walk-up access to the rear entry door leads to a generous interior cab space .
The cabin is quiet and comfortable with excellent visibility . The full-length front window and additional floor windows provide clear sightlines . The high output climate control system keeps the operator comfortable even in ambient temperature extremes . LED lighting provides higher output and improved reliability .
