The need for durable machinery will
never subside in the forestry sector
durable upper assembly rotating
on the same large diameter swing
bearing as the rest of the Tigercat
loader and feller buncher line.
The rigid Tigercat fabricated
subframe makes for a stable base.
The strength-to-weight optimized
boom is specially designed for fast
and effective shortwood loading.
The 234B and 250D are both all-
around loaders suited to the vast
majority of roadside applications.
Both can be equipped with a pull-
through delimber, bar-saw slasher,
circle-saw slasher or grapple.
They feature boom systems
specially reinforced to withstand
the extreme forces of high cycle
delimbing and loading.
“Tigercat’s closed-loop
hydraulic swing system recovers
swing energy so they have the best
fuel economy in their class,” the
manufacturer stated.
The 250D has a larger main
valve than the 234B providing
fast and smooth boom control,
while handling heavy, tree-length
logs. The 234B/250D cab has
been extensively reworked based
on user feedback and now offers
ergonomics equal to any other on
the market.
Tigercat loader cabs are
an exceptionally quiet and
comfortable work environment.
Overall, the new cab is 3 in (75
cm) taller in the front to improve
visibility and the door is 4 in (10
cm) wider making entry and exit
easier.
