BIOGRAPHIES YAN DUYVENDAK Co-creator Yan Duyvendak was born in Holland and lives in Geneva and Marseille. Trained at the École supérieure d’art visuel de Genève, Yan has been making performances since 1995. Yan has presented works at, among other venues, the Fondation Cartier in Paris (Soirée Nomade, 1995), the Festival for performing arts EXIT, Helsinki (2001), Art Unlimited Basel (2002), the Museo Reina Sofia de Madrid (Don’t Call It Performance, 2003), the Guangju Biennale (2004), Image Forum, Tokyo (2005), the Ménagerie de verre, Paris (2006—09), the Vooruit, Gand (2007), the Festival d’Avignon (2008) and Theaterspektakel Zurich (2009). Yan’s video works appear in numerous public and private collections, from the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lyon to the Museum für Kommunikation in Bern. ROGER BERNAT Co-creator Yan has received the Swiss Art Award three times (2002, 2003 and 2004), the Namics Kunstpreis für Neue Medien (2004) and the Network Kulturpreis (2006), among others. In 2010 Yan received the most prestigious Swiss award for contemporary art, the Meret Oppenheim Preis. Yan has taken part in many residences, from the Cité des Arts in Paris to the atelier Schönhauser in Berlin to Pro Helvetia’s Swiss Artistic Studio in Cairo (2007, 2008 and 2009). Roger Bernat studied direction and dramaturgy at the Institut de Teatre (Barcelona) and was awarded the Graduation Prize in 1999. Between 1997 and 2001, along with Tomàs Aragay, Roger founded and led General Elèctrica, a centre for the creation of dance and theatre. Among other theatre pieces, Roger has written and directed 10.000 kg (Special Critic’s Prize 96/97); Domestic Comfort (Dramatical Text Critic’s Award 97/98); Album; Trilogie 70; Bona gent; LALALALALA; Fuge State (Amnèsia de fuga); Everything’s Perfect, or Das Paradies Experiment. Roger has directed including Polaire; The Tribe (la Tribu); Vero, or What Everyone Knows but No One Dares Say (Vero ou Ce que chacun sait mais personne n’ose dire). Roger is currently touring with Domini Public and Le Sacre du Printemps, Please, Continue (Hamlet) and Pending Vote.
